Hello......autumn flowers

Hi there....

Here today to share an card using the Candy Shoppe image from Whimsy Stamps, colored up with autumn colors.

I used colored pencils to color in the flowers and then watercolored the background.

I used a few different die cuts from Mama Elephant to layer the image and then die cut the hello from orange glitter foam to give the sentiment a little pop.

Such a fun image to color and play with, hope you enjoyed looking.

Head on over to Whimsy Stamps for this and lot of other great images.

A little Halloween......

Since Halloween is just around the corner, thought I would get started on some spooky cards.

Here today to show a card I made for Kith and Kin Stamp Company.

I colored up this image with prismacolor pencils and then added some sparkle with Stickles.  I added some flowers for embellishment and put some more Stickles on them as well.

For the die cuts, I used My Favorite Things Square Stax to create the border and the inside background.

Hope you enjoyed the card, please head on over to Kith and Kin Stamp Company or the Facebook page.

Have a great day.  Happy Halloween!

A look back at August creations for Kith and Kin

Hi there.....

Here today to share some creations I have made for Kith and Kin Stamp company.

Since it's still summer here in the Pacific Northwest of the US, I have created summer cards....although with school right around the corner next week, soon the season will change here too.

The first card I made using Rory with Kitty was so fun to make a camping theme.

For my second card, I chose to use Sandcastles Robbie and Rose.  I watercolored the image to give it a soft beachy feel.....I loved how it turned out.

Hope you enjoyed these creations, head on over to Kith and Kin Stamp Co and join in on all the fun creations on facebook created by the design team members.

Have a great day.

Kith and Kin Stamps....Ella Ballerina

Hi there.....here again with a design team post for Kith and Kin Stamps using the great Ella Ballerina image.

So I have to say that although I may have not done this image justice with my coloring, I feel like it still turned out pretty good.

So I have been trying out different watercolor papers, just for my own knowledge and this one....well you can see it took the bottom of the list.  Just wasn't good at blending and the ink did bleed when I put water on it....so I had to be extra careful and go really light on the color.

But I figured I would pop her up on a card using this speech bubble die from Lawn Fawn.  Also I added some sequins to add a little sparkle and the Happy Birthday die to just finish off the sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed taking a peek.  Head on over to Kith and Kin Stamps for this and so many other great images.

Thanks for stopping by.

Treats for our four-legged friends........

Hi there....

Here today with a design team post for Kith and Kin Stamps using the Max digital image, so cute and thought what better kind of project then a treat can to hold some snacks for our four-legged buddies.

I first printed out the image on strathmore watercolor paper, then colored him up using distress markers.

Then I adhered the image to two stacked square die cuts, with some foam adhesive.  Then added some embellishments.

I cut some dog treat patterned paper and lined the paint can to make it a little more interesting.

Really enjoyed making this project, can't wait to give it to someone as a gift.

Hope you enjoy and head on over to Kith and Kin Stamps for this and lots of other great images, also catch them on facebook and like them for this and other great ideas for using their images.

Thanks for stopping by.

Kith and Kin Stamp Company......Design Team Project

Hi there.....wanted to share with you today, my first project using a Kith and Kin Stamp Company image, Cowgirl  I recently was lucky enough to join the Kith and Kin Design Team and decided my first project would be a little something different.

I made a altered bookmark using a bookmark die from Paper Smooches

I colored the image on watercolor paper with Derwent Inktense pencils, Tim Holtz distress markers and an aqua brush.

I die cut the image using a Spellbinders die and then used Dusty Concord distress ink to ink the edges up to the image to make it stand out a little more.

The sentiments came from a stamp set from MFT, called Bookmark Basics.

Had lots of fun creating this project, look forward to making more with the great digital images from Kith and Kin Stamps.

Go check out Kith and Kin Stamp Company and see all of the great images they have available, or check them out on Facebook to and like their page.
