Thanks.......with flowers!

Hi there....

Wanted to share a card I made using Juice Bar by Moon Cookie Gallery over at Whimsy Stamps.

I always am in need of Thank You cards and thought this image would be amazing watercolored.

I had a lot of fun coloring this using Derwent inktense pencils.  I added a little sparkle with some Stickles and also a butterfly punch.

Also, the thanks die cut if from Lawn Fawn, that I added some foam adhesive to to make it stand up from the card so it didn't take away from these great flowers.

For the inside of the card I just added a few more butterflies and a paper smooches sentiment to finish it off.

Hope you endjoyed this card, head on over to the Whimsy Stamps for this and many other Moon Cookie Gallery images.

Have a great day. =)

Sweet.......Geisha Charlie from Little Blue Button Stamps

Summer days are ahead.....toda I am sharing a card using the Sweet Geisha Charlie from Little Blue Button Stamps.

She is the perfect image for all those asian inspired papers and stamps.  I had a lot of fun watercoloring this image as well as the background too.

I first watercolored the image using distress inks, then die cut her using a Spellbinders die and layered it with another coordinating die.

I am still having so much trouble trying to get the skin/face right....I seem to always get dark lines because I keep going over it, but it you didn't see this close up you might never notice it. =)

The background and the umbrella came from a Stampendous set, just love how it turned out.  Nice to be able to make your own patterned paper some times.  I popped some the image and umbrella on foam dots, then added these flowers...not exactly cherry blossoms, but thought the color went ok.

Hope you enjoy this and head on over to Little Blue Button Stamps to buy this image and so much more.  Olga, the owner is such an amazing artist and her images really are the perfect focal point to any card.

Thanks much, for stopping by.

Happy Mother's Day.....a little early!

Hi there.....for my Little Blue Button Stamps design team project, I decided to use the amazing Spring Flower Charlie image.  She is just adorable and such a great image for a Mother's Day project.

I got this little journal/note pad at Target in the $1 bin, just loved the colors Coral, Black and Pink.  So I colored up the image on watercolor paper with distress markers and Derwent inktense pencils, then added a little Stickles sparkle.

I added some flourish dies and a cool chandelier die from MFT to add a little dimension.

I just love how this turned out, it's going to make a great gift.

So go check out Little Blue Button Stamps to get this awesome digi image and check out all the great stamps that LBBS has to offer.

Hope you all have a great Mother's Day.

Thanks for checking out my project.

Kith and Kin Stamp Company......Design Team Project

Hi there.....wanted to share with you today, my first project using a Kith and Kin Stamp Company image, Cowgirl  I recently was lucky enough to join the Kith and Kin Design Team and decided my first project would be a little something different.

I made a altered bookmark using a bookmark die from Paper Smooches

I colored the image on watercolor paper with Derwent Inktense pencils, Tim Holtz distress markers and an aqua brush.

I die cut the image using a Spellbinders die and then used Dusty Concord distress ink to ink the edges up to the image to make it stand out a little more.

The sentiments came from a stamp set from MFT, called Bookmark Basics.

Had lots of fun creating this project, look forward to making more with the great digital images from Kith and Kin Stamps.

Go check out Kith and Kin Stamp Company and see all of the great images they have available, or check them out on Facebook to and like their page.

Thanks so much for reading.

For a baby boy....shower

I recently threw a baby shower for my new little nephew and had so much fun creating the decor for it.  I chose a navy blue and green theme.....(a little hard to find anything blue and green in Seattle these days after the superbowl).

I created a layered banner, cutting the fishtails from my cricut Phrases cartridge.  I scored and folded 1.5 inch and 2 inch rosettes, then topped those with a circle punch and some black alphabet stickers.

I stamped the napkins in Versafine Smoky Grey ink, with the Showered with Love stamp set from A Muse Studio.  This ink might have been a little too watery for this technique, next time I would use either Memento or Staz On ink for a crisper image.

Lastly, I used these cups with a whale stamp from A Muse Studio and used Inktense pencils with a water color brush, then cut them out and popped them up on a pop dots.

Hope you enjoy these ideas.....happy crafting.
