A safe harbor......

Hi there,

Gina here today to share a card I made using the Couple in Love image from Whimsy Stamps.  Such a fun card to watercolor, the perfect scenery to blend colors together.

I watercolored this image using both distress markers and Derwent inktense pencils.  I tried using a new technique to not get the colors to bleed, by heat setting each area once I completed it.  Using the inktense pencils, once they dry they are permanent, which makes it a lot easier to not allow bleeding between the different areas.

Hope you like this card, please go take a look over at Whimsy Stamps, for this and other great images.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Have a great day. =)

A little note.....

Hi there..

Here to share a little card that I made for my daughter to put in her lunchbox for her first day back to school.

I used the sweeet image from Little Blue Button Stamps.

I made this into a little bigger than a 3x4 card and watercolored the image using distress markers.

I stamped the sentiments from the the Lil' Hoot set from Hero Arts.

Thought this would be just a perfect little card to let her know how proud I am of her.

Thanks for letting me share and please go check out Little Blue Button Stamps for this and some other great digital stamps for all of your crafty projects.

Thanks.......with flowers!

Hi there....

Wanted to share a card I made using Juice Bar by Moon Cookie Gallery over at Whimsy Stamps.

I always am in need of Thank You cards and thought this image would be amazing watercolored.

I had a lot of fun coloring this using Derwent inktense pencils.  I added a little sparkle with some Stickles and also a butterfly punch.

Also, the thanks die cut if from Lawn Fawn, that I added some foam adhesive to to make it stand up from the card so it didn't take away from these great flowers.

For the inside of the card I just added a few more butterflies and a paper smooches sentiment to finish it off.

Hope you endjoyed this card, head on over to the Whimsy Stamps for this and many other Moon Cookie Gallery images.

Have a great day. =)

Best Friends Forever......Mama Elephant Photo Inspiration Challenge

Hi there......

Today I have a card that I created for the Mama Elephant Photo Inspiration Challenge.

Such fun stamps to create with, I used the Honey Bunny set and a few other accessories.

To start with I the Taylored Expressions - Dies - Ray Of Sunshine.  I watercolored using some Tim Holtz paints and gelatos, then added water and brushed it on to make it look like a sunset.

I also watercolored the grass panels using the landscape trio set.

I colored the bunnies with distress markers and a aqua brush, then added some liquid pearls to their tails.

For the inside I stamped the bunnies again and also used a sentiment from the AmyR Stamps Rainy Day Sentiments Rubber Stamps.

Thanks for looking, have a great weekend.

For a baby boy....shower

I recently threw a baby shower for my new little nephew and had so much fun creating the decor for it.  I chose a navy blue and green theme.....(a little hard to find anything blue and green in Seattle these days after the superbowl).

I created a layered banner, cutting the fishtails from my cricut Phrases cartridge.  I scored and folded 1.5 inch and 2 inch rosettes, then topped those with a circle punch and some black alphabet stickers.

I stamped the napkins in Versafine Smoky Grey ink, with the Showered with Love stamp set from A Muse Studio.  This ink might have been a little too watery for this technique, next time I would use either Memento or Staz On ink for a crisper image.

Lastly, I used these cups with a whale stamp from A Muse Studio and used Inktense pencils with a water color brush, then cut them out and popped them up on a pop dots.

Hope you enjoy these ideas.....happy crafting.
