A safe harbor......

Hi there,

Gina here today to share a card I made using the Couple in Love image from Whimsy Stamps.  Such a fun card to watercolor, the perfect scenery to blend colors together.

I watercolored this image using both distress markers and Derwent inktense pencils.  I tried using a new technique to not get the colors to bleed, by heat setting each area once I completed it.  Using the inktense pencils, once they dry they are permanent, which makes it a lot easier to not allow bleeding between the different areas.

Hope you like this card, please go take a look over at Whimsy Stampsfor this and other great images.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Have a great day. =)

Such a fun project and something a little different to give with a sweet gift.

A little note.....

Hi there..

Here to share a little card that I made for my daughter to put in her lunchbox for her first day back to school.

I used the sweeet image from Little Blue Button Stamps.

I made this into a little bigger than a 3x4 card and watercolored the image using distress markers.

I stamped the sentiments from the the Lil' Hoot set from Hero Arts.

Thought this would be just a perfect little card to let her know how proud I am of her.

Thanks for letting me share and please go check out Little Blue Button Stamps for this and some other great digital stamps for all of your crafty projects.

Hello Friend.......

Hi There.....

Wanted to share a card I made for Little Blue Button Stamps, using the adorable Ladybug Sophie, that was released this month.  Head on over to Little Blue Button Stamps for this and many other great digi stamps.

I watercolored this image using distress markers and cut out the image with a stitched rectangle die from Mama Elephant. I then added the two cloud punches with a sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Since this was a single layer card, I decided to add some foam adhesive to the back of the image to give it some dimension before mounting it to a yellow card base.

Hope you enjoyed checking this out.....please head over to the blog for this and lots of other great ideas using Little Blue Button images.

Have a great day.

Birthday wishes.......

Hi all.....

Here today to bring you some birthday wishes using the adorable Miss Lilly Happy B-day from Little Blue Button Stamps.

I can never have enough birthday cards and I decided to try to watercolor this image using distress markers.

I tried to go really simple to just let the image take center stage...isn't she adorable.

I used only distress markers and a watercolor brush on some 90lb watercolor paper.

To dress it up a bit I used some wink of stella clear glitter brush pen and some stickles to the cake and cherry on top.

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking this out, please head on over to the blog for this image and other released for July.

Hope you all have a great day.

Sweet.......Geisha Charlie from Little Blue Button Stamps

Summer days are ahead.....toda I am sharing a card using the Sweet Geisha Charlie from Little Blue Button Stamps.

She is the perfect image for all those asian inspired papers and stamps.  I had a lot of fun watercoloring this image as well as the background too.

I first watercolored the image using distress inks, then die cut her using a Spellbinders die and layered it with another coordinating die.

I am still having so much trouble trying to get the skin/face right....I seem to always get dark lines because I keep going over it, but it you didn't see this close up you might never notice it. =)

The background and the umbrella came from a Stampendous set, just love how it turned out.  Nice to be able to make your own patterned paper some times.  I popped some the image and umbrella on foam dots, then added these flowers...not exactly cherry blossoms, but thought the color went ok.

Hope you enjoy this and head on over to Little Blue Button Stamps to buy this image and so much more.  Olga, the owner is such an amazing artist and her images really are the perfect focal point to any card.

Thanks much, for stopping by.

Kith and Kin Stamps....Ella Ballerina

Hi there.....here again with a design team post for Kith and Kin Stamps using the great Ella Ballerina image.

So I have to say that although I may have not done this image justice with my coloring, I feel like it still turned out pretty good.

So I have been trying out different watercolor papers, just for my own knowledge and this one....well you can see it took the bottom of the list.  Just wasn't good at blending and the ink did bleed when I put water on it....so I had to be extra careful and go really light on the color.

But I figured I would pop her up on a card using this speech bubble die from Lawn Fawn.  Also I added some sequins to add a little sparkle and the Happy Birthday die to just finish off the sentiment.

Hope you enjoyed taking a peek.  Head on over to Kith and Kin Stamps for this and so many other great images.

Thanks for stopping by.

Treats for our four-legged friends........

Hi there....

Here today with a design team post for Kith and Kin Stamps using the Max digital image, so cute and thought what better kind of project then a treat can to hold some snacks for our four-legged buddies.

I first printed out the image on strathmore watercolor paper, then colored him up using distress markers.

Then I adhered the image to two stacked square die cuts, with some foam adhesive.  Then added some embellishments.

I cut some dog treat patterned paper and lined the paint can to make it a little more interesting.

Really enjoyed making this project, can't wait to give it to someone as a gift.

Hope you enjoy and head on over to Kith and Kin Stamps for this and lots of other great images, also catch them on facebook and like them for this and other great ideas for using their images.
